For a better experience, see below our recommendations for selecting, sending and managing files on IMAGin:
General guidelines
- High quality footage
- Precise focus and exposure
- Preferably unedited or minimally edited clips (color correction and moderate effects, etc.)
- In the case of a file with several clips edited together that can be sold as individual clips, separate them.
- Clips without a watermark, as the IMAGin image bank protection mark will be inserted.
Audio
We prefer that audio is removed before uploading to the platform. Exceptions include editorial content or footage where the audio is crucial to the use of the content.
If the audio associated with a clip can be useful to our buyers and does not contain any copyrighted material (such as music) or recognizable voices (which would require a clearance model), then the audio should be included with the clip.
Please note that we only accept audio recorded with high-quality microphones at an appropriate level.
Duration and file size
Duration
The clips must be between 8 and 60 seconds long.
File size

- 4K / 5K / 6K clips: up to 5 GB.
- 8K clips: up to 6 GB - R3D (zip w / .mov): up to 6 GB.

To make the most of IMAGin and its possibilities, follow our tips below for uploading your files:
Send files
Uploading your files is very easy. On the IMAGin homepage, next to the search bar there is a "Menu" option and next to it "Upload videos", just click on it.
There will be four screens to fill in: "General", "Technical specifications", "Review" e "Publish", detailed below.
1. General
On the General screen, you are asked to fill in fields relating to basic information about the contents of the file.
Upload Video
Click on the "Upload" option to select a video file on your computer. After confirming the file selection, a player will appear for viewing the video.
Title
In the next field, type in a title that summarizes the contents of the file. Catchy titles attract attention, so we suggest highlighting what the file is about in brief, avoiding generic names or words followed by sequential numerals.
Description
The "Description" field is ideal for including details of the file capture. We suggest filling in at least two lines in this area, with complementary information to the "Title".
Theme
The "Themes" selection area is used to make it easier to highlight the file in our predefined collections on the site, which are divided into groups: "Expressions", "Business and Technology", "Urban" and "Nature". We suggest that you select up to 2 (two) or 3 (three) items from this area, as long as the content of the file you send is pertinent to the selected items.
Tags
The "Tags" field refers to the keywords in which the submitted file can be summarized. The words should be entered one at a time, with a suggested minimum of 5 (five) items in this field.
Once you have filled in all the fields on this first page, click on "Next" to proceed to the next screen.
2. Technical specifications
The second screen asks for specific technical information about the file being sent.
Location
Fill in the geographical location of the content of the file in question in this field. We recommend filling in the name of the city followed by the state of the federation in which the capture was made.
Year
Enter in this field the year in which the content of the file being sent was captured.
Aspect
This field is used to indicate the visual aspect ratio of the file. You can select one of two options: 4:3 (square) or 16:9 (rectangular).
Looping
Select in this field whether or not the uploaded file has the characteristic of appearing to be on infinite repeat during playback.
CODEC
This field is used to indicate the encoder/decoder used in the file being sent. Select one of the available options, remembering that the list is only made up of options accepted on the site. Uploading files using codecs not mentioned may result in errors or unavailability on IMAGin.
Frame Rate
Select one of the options in this field to indicate the Frame Rate of the file being sent.
Cover Image
Cover images/thumbnails are used to illustrate uploaded files on our platform using photographic images that represent their content. It is necessary to select 1 (one) cover image for each file, the site automatically generates 4 (four) options and also gives you the freedom to create them manually if you wish.
Other specifications
This extra field is for you to fill in additional information about the capture if you wish, for example, the name of the cameraman/photographer, any specific technique that was used, the name of the events, etc. It is not a mandatory field.
Once you have filled in all the fields on this second page, click on "Next" to move on to the next screen.
3. Review
The third screen shows the information that was filled in on the previous screens.
This screen shows an example of how the file will be displayed in the IMAGin Marketplace environment. If you want to make corrections, click on "Back" to return to the previous screens and make adjustments. Once everything is correct, click on "Next/Publish" to proceed to the last screen.
4. Publish
The fourth and final screen shows confirmation that the file has been sent to IMAGin.
When you have finished sending the file, you can stop browsing the environment by clicking on "Exit" or continue sending more files by clicking on the "Add New" option.
When a sequence of files is sent in the same session, file uploads take place in the background, optimizing internet usage and navigation in the environment.
Analysis and Approval
The files are sent to the platform to our team of experts, who will analyze the video and the information filled in. If all is well, the video is approved and made available for sale on the IMAGin marketplace. If necessary, our experts may ask for corrections and/or additional information, with a view to better exposing the asset for sale.
